Will be updating this thread as I go along. I miss my last DT so much I went a got myself another 2003 DT125R at a good price.

Picked up for £1000 with 4 months tax & test, new rear tyre & front/back brake pads. Does need some attention (usual places) but everything works and is there. Came with a full DEP exhaust (has a dent but easily sorted) and all the keys for the locks :)

Full service history, paperwork & is also data tagged (needs registering to me)

More pics will be coming, I hate my iphone.

Planning on a full strip to frame, paint, engine rebuild & some stainless bolts to tidy her up. List of parts needed so far comes to less than £150 - that includes crank bearings & seals :)

No, surprisingly off Gumtree :)

Did my research, asked all the right questions and got a decent bike for a good price. Rust & filth isn't an issue as I'll have plenty of time over Xmas to get it done.
Should be out and about on it new year fingers x'd!

Sorry guys kinda missed out the important bit - actually rebuilding the damn thing. I honestly forgot I started this topic... (face palm)

Here's the After pic - I did take some pics of the work while I was doing it but need to pull them off my other phone.

Let me tell you I had a lot of fun trying to pull the swing arm bolt out!

Work done up to date:

Complete rebuild of everything except the engine (waiting on some parts before cracking on)

Built from the frame up, spent a fortune on genuine yammy parts for the swinger & shock.

Also fitted an alarm/immobiliser, and has a tracker installed with its own 12v backup battery hidden.

The brakes were fun to do and I'm chuffed to bits with how they turned out...
