I rarely use my GoPro especially on the DT as it's so slow it's embarrassing haha!

 

But I haven't showed her off moving since i've SM'd her. So here she is. It's just a short one with a few bends but it's in the wet and admitably the tyres are low and (Yes I know i'm an idiot) on the wrong rotation (STILL!).

 

 

But for those of  you who are interested I'm going to do a few of these videos down the same road.

I don't go over the speed limit on this road (Don't actually think this bike can atm :( ) and like said can't nail it around the corner but you get the picture.

Exhaust is blowing and sounds shít. Had some chavey giving me stick about it. And it's rusting all over. Needs to be stripped back down to the frame v

Not in the slightest.

Top end is sweet as a nut. It's a few things really. The jetting is off a little. The powervalve is fitted incorrectly. The cdi is restricted. The exhaust is blowing. And i'm not hammering cause it's wet. And the camera doesn't do it complete justice. Want to do one on the rs. Would be nice to compare to the dt when its finished.

Next video should be full power dtr and finally fullish power tzr. Should be interesting.

Ah I see. On the straights I used to hammer my DT in the rain. :| Was fine didn't slip or anything. :S

A Dominator 650 in the rain / ice though, woah different story when pinning it bro. Slipping all over the place hahah

to be honest..it doesnt sound very well?? ...why you running with all those problems? surely jetting,powervalve and exhaust are easily fixed? with that combination of problems-running it could cause more problems?

would love one of those cameras to do a run on mine :p

Jetting is an issue cause it's running that 4dl cylinder for some reason doesn't like the settings Even though i've changed it time and time again.

Powervalve I've only just noticed. Going to sort it out in a min. But it's odd and the bike runs so I can't be bothered to sort it. But will when i have time.

Because the cylinder is that 4dl the exhaust doesn't mount properly and needs brackets made to space it for literallly a few mm.

Why haven't i fixed it? I've got no intention of running this engine for much longer. Tzr soon so don't need to sort out.

Okay so I know the valve is correct now. Exhaust is repacked and on properly. Does it still sound as bad?

Else I don't know what it is?

Sounds okay dude, but tbh I recon it's cause your DEP is new, after they've had a few years to mature I think they sound way better.

Yeah I know man, but your DEP hasn't really had much use, so it hasn't had time to mature like a fine red wine.

And it probably won't either. I'm not impressed by it. I'll be swapping it out for an underslung in a few months time.

This thing even though I clean it after every use, still rusts. Crap metal

Wouldn't an underslung pipe have disadvantages, especially if you off-road, pipe will be dented up from stones etc as well.

 But I don't go off road....

 

Even if I did I wouldn't do it on the DT.
