As for the bike, I sold it spares or repairs with the topend off.
The gear selector was gone as well, that's why it wouldn't go into first gear so needed a full strip and split cases again, and I just couldn't be bothered with it. Once I crash bikes I lose interest in that bike and want a new one. Won't be bothering with another off-roader though. Getting legal again.
Yeah, I think so. Norfe got it done, I forgot the exact thing he said, but it was something along them lines and the throttle being stuck wrecked the topend.
Get a off roader but not some sh**** old small wheel kids thing! Get yourself a nice condition 125 if you like the 2strokes, or get a 250f i can garuntee you can get a lets say 06 in decent nick for £1000, i dont know if you have but if you actually ride a proper dirt bike with good suspension you will realise how much fun they are!! 5th gear pinned all day if you got the room and you still feel in control! Did you say you were 5'10? Perfect height for motocross bikes you will probably feel comfortable on any crosser
I'm 5'11 or 6ft. Or close between them. Nah, not point in bothering with another off-road, not really a off-roader person. More of a road rider. Getting the DT legit again. Just the insurance holding me back now. :D
Fair enough, i dont really like the road because someone else could seriously hurt you even if you were riding perfectly safe, offroad most of the time its all on you
Can still make some stupid decisions off-road and seriously injure yourself or even kill yourself. Watched a guy on TV the other day, hit a jump and fell off and landed funny breaking his pelvis. If he landed any different, he could have broke his back. It comes with the territory though. You can wrap yourself up and get a car, and live until 70 then get ran over by someone in a car. I'd rather roll the dice a few times in life. :)
If I go out on a bike, I did something I enjoyed. TBH, would rather off myself than live with a life long disability. Probably sounds selfish, but each to their own, I guess.
You dont have to do big jumps offroad. You dont have to speed on road. You go at your own pace offroad and yes, its very dangerous but you know the risks and you except them. If your on road however and you abide the law, ride as safely as possible stick to the speed limits, you could have some w***** pull out infront of you or some drunk driver crash into you or whatever, chances are you are getting seriously hurt or are killed. You hear allot more people getting killed onroad than off, infact its rare if someone actually dies offroad.
My point is i hate the fact that you could be the most sensible rider in the world and just because of someone else you could loose your life, offroad your fully commited otherwise you wouldn't be doing it in the first place
Go with the bikes offroad, but stick with the car onroad, thats what i do but as you say each to their own :) if you enjoy it there's not much that will deter you, just keep your wits about ya!! Every car is a potential threat...

You can still die in a car (although statistically you're more likely to die on a bike), even being sensible in a car you can come unstuck. Near enough everything in life can possibly kill you, dying is apart of life, some die before others and some for natural causes, others through accidents. You can be the safest person in the world and get killed crossing the road to work one day.

Whoa man thats getting into it but its very interesting, notice how there's no death from falls on an off road motocyle ;) ha no i know what you mean mate, people think there in a bubble most of the time, but what we dont realise is life is very REAL and factual; you could fall out of your bed land on your head break your neck and die the end ha, anything can happen and we get so consumed by our regular routine and lifestyle that you assume nothing will happen to you... Until it does :/
Think the falls from motorbikes will just be listed under motorcycles.
And yup, can live life careful and then when you least expect it something happens. People have even been killed by other people, just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I'd rather enjoy my life, and run a few risks than be bothered about dying, to be honest. My parents are always on about how motorbikes are dangerous etc.
There was a guy on another forum I go on, that had a drunk, high and disqualified driver pull out on him and nearly kill him. Can read it here: www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php if you're interested. :)
Omg that guy is a nutter, you see what i mean though? Some **** pulls out and thats the riders life f***** for a while, perfect example of what im getting at, and then it happens again! Couldn't believe the damage he sustained
Obviously it is all about having fun otherwise whats the point in living, but when i get on the road on the sm unless im commuting i just simply cannot go to the speed limits, wmespecially around where i live, im just flatt out everywhere then i started thinking of passing my full test and getting a bigger bike and that when i stopped my self and thought all im gonna do is what im doing now but faster. And when i was commuting i had people simply not spotting me and after a couple of hard braking skids i realised brakes on bikes are ****, i've been lucky so far so im honna leave it there before i become a cropper, not really that fussed tbh motocross has consumed my life so thats all i think about anyway
