so today im walking out of my house to go to the shop and i see a empty spot where i have parked up my dt last night thinking my mate is ****ing around with me i run back to the garden thinking he just hid it there and nope its not there eather fuc-----ng gutted just finished building tht bitch. any info or if someone has seen it or came across any parts rom it would be apriciated, it hapend in isleworth london on wood lane around 3-5am hoping that my naighbours cct has cought something
I was going to say other day about the advert that it shows your street and house any one who lives local or has been down that street would know it .
did you have any calls from the advert for viewing bike at address ect ?
good tip some sellers do is take the bike out on a country lane for sales pics never at home showing the street area and or door number combine pic of house with area along with google street view and boom they have the house same as youtube videos so many show rideing to or from house .
realy hope you get it back lots about that bike will stand out and should be spoted easy sure we all will troll the net and keep our eyes out ..
if your old advert shows what your new stolen advert did it takes seconds to find the right house .
not many spare grounds or fields to local they are the first places to look for tracks or signs
your for sale advert showed then all they needed to find your house . http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/yamaha-dt-125-x-r-dtr-dtx-dt-re-125cc-dt125-supermoto-wr-husky-aprilia-rs-mito-r125/1043470825#map-content

Really sorry to hear this. With hindsight the photos by the house wernt a good idea but saying it doesnt help you get the bike back. It's a very noticeable bike so keep an eye on ebay, gumtree etc etc and you may be able to track it down. Was it insured?
I'm sure everyone on here will be keeping an eye out for it.
Unfortunatly these days the thing that usually happens is gangs load them onto small lorries and go out of the country through the tunnel and drive them to easten europe. It's usually bigger expensive bikes but if it was an easy target then they may have gone for it.
Or just an oppurtunist little rat who will strip it down use it off road. If you know anyone that might be in contact with these sort of people then get the word around and see what you can dig up.
Best of luck with finding it and if you write a little write up in form of a description then we can all post it around any other forums that have stolen bikes sections.
Some motorcycle magazines will also print photos and info for you for free.
pls dont take my above post the wrong way not haveing a dig or making light of it . I say or post things like that so that it may help others to take care when advertising or posting pics or videos .
plaster a stolen advert with offer of reward on as many sites and forums as possible with email so ppl can give you info with out worrying about giveing their name away . you can even put stolen advert on ebay .
dont just target your area for adverts if like me when I search I only search local adverts so would miss yours unless I search dt - area all UK . it stands out so even a neighbour or passerby could spot it somewhere .

It isn't no surprise to me. If one moped or something gets stolen near me, at least another two get stolen within the next 24 hours. They steal one and use it to look for better ones or other ones. 4 people 2 bikes, each pillion rides one back to their local estate and stashes them in bushes when out of fuel.
Wouldn't leave a motorbike on my front, even if it was a 50CC scooter and I lived in a nice posh area. The thieves love the posh areas, as they're usually more relaxed with locks etc.
It's a DT, so lights will be gone, number plate will be yanked off about 2 minutes after getting it started.
Just hope they're joyriders and not smart thieves that'll grind the serials off.
P.S even if it's joyriders I'd be gutted because they'll rag the two bells of shit out of it. And destroy it.
Go around looking for it, I doubt they'd ride it in the day, they're usually nocturnal, they'll ride it at night. IF you see it, do NOT run up to the riders, even if there's two, don't run up unless you have a weapon and have the balls to use it. People around my area have ran up to two on their bike and next minute another 9 come out of the bushes and start laying into them, it's a death sentence so be careful and calm if you see it.
Probably best getting the po-po in there.

shame its gone lyk but y the fuk would you leave it on your drive with no locks were you dropped on the head as a child ? you wouldn't leave a 1000pound cash bundle on your drive so y think its ok to do it with a bike that's worth 1000-1500 ????? hope you get the bike back and learn your lesson and just remember these words if its not locked its getting twocked regardless were u live

Obviously got too much ££££.
Just hope he had third party fire and theft insurance and they agree'd on a value of the bike. Or his in for an ass raping.
P.S if the thieves remove the frame numbers but not the engine numbers the po-po can't prove it's your frame, so they cut a hole in the frame so you can't re-use it.
Yeah it's all about security init bruv. This year i'm carrying two disc locks minimum, for each wheel. Probably grab a chain too, then with that through the frame/swinger is pretty much max security.
i know it was silly of my to not have the locks off i guess i got too relaxed seeing other peoples bikes on the drives without locks on, police got back to me turns out my naighbout oposite street had a cctv so they know it was some litle **** standing outside my house when he eventually listed the wheel up and draged it out, his face can be seen on the video but they cannot show me it before the determin if there was a van standing close by and if maybe it was cought by another naighbours camera, its a lesson for me, had **** loads of bikes outside my house for the past year and none never got nicked and they stood there for ages , this one for about a week since i got iit out for mot and started using it again.
never again i will mark that box on gumtree when it shows you on the map where the location is.
i blame myself for not putting a tracker on it even tho i have one , was going to do it when i planed to remmove the panels to give them a respray after the drop , and at the end of the day i can only blame myself for not locking it and not putting that damn tracker on, and why the hell that bloddy alarm didnt go off
go see your neighbour or the guy with cctv take a flash drive or usb memmory stick with ya and ask for a copy of the video .
if he has a recording then chances are its on a dvr linked to his pc so he will still have the film stored thats unless he is realy old crap time laps vcr recordings .
you learn from your mistakes the hard way some times living in a nice area with low crime you relax and let things slip but that is when things go missing .
I grew up in a realy bad area so know never to drop your guard no matter how safe you think things are .
its not that nice as it seams to be just the street seams nice. the police alredy said to not try to get the footage of the naighbour and told him not to give to me, as his face can be seen on the video and me going after the guy might ruin the case

Might put you through one of them identification parades to see if you recognise any of the faces, and one of them is the perp. Probably wouldn't do that much effort though as it involves actually doing work.
The po-po probably couldn't give two shits.
Only time they're bothered is if they keep playing with the local bobbies on it and getting chases.

why would they put him in a ID parade he never saw the bike being stolen ? also not id parades these days its all done with video screens .
I would still get the video no matter what the police said just to see if I knew the face or spot him localy on shops or in a group at least that way you would know if it could still be in the area .
if it was me I would splaster the video all over the net and youtube .
Iliterally mate didn't stop pestering the police. I was on Facebook straight away (well i don't have facebook but my brothers). I was out all night looking for it. I had some quality mates (who were a bit dodgey) that knew the right questions to ask and the right people to ask. I had people that I didn't even know helping me. Some of these people that I did not know helped a great deal in getting me closer to my bike by handing out names.
But in the end mate I was extremely lucky. All they wanted from my bike was a joyride. I am thankful of this. If it is going to be nicked i'd rather this than them keeping it and selling it. These were just a couple of maggots that wanted to enjoy a summers day at my expense. But a day later I recovered it. I didn't take any photos cause it was quite heart breaking the state I got it in. And some of the damage remains today.
It was trashed mate. But for about £150 i got it back and running a week later. The cdi is so restrictive that even without oil the cylinder survived 350 miles.
Never again. I don't chance it anywhere now. One thing for sure that I don't have a steering lock so I have to take locks with me.
yeah in some case ypu can get it back who was the other user who had his nicked and then it was found in a pub carpark days later ?
if it had not much fuel in or was not running right they could hide it in bushs woods or local fields with a view to coming back later or just dump it have you had a good look round any local spare grounds or fields or routes out of the area they may have used off road to get home safe for tire tracks or bits ripped off ?
was the alarm wired in to the ignition system to stop it from running ?
its also a sunday a good day for off road scum on fields so if you know any local areas for field bike users get out abd about with a camera and binculors .
Thats mine aswell but thats at the garden with no acces to it without someone noticing as its realy hard to get a bike there in the first place. I just cannot wait to see the **** who took my bike
