admited to selling it do you have proof of that ? and as for the handling part what proof do you have that the engine you have is in fact the one they sent you ? what if they say wait thats not the engine I sold him he has swapped it for another one then would you not get done for handling stolen goods .
there are so many ways this could go and seems like its all- he said- she said- I said
my question is do you have proof of anything anyone said ? the police are going to ask all these things .

can you show us the pic in google images ? do you have a email from the seller is the tel number linked to any other adverts maybe one of us can find more info on the person or bike or anything else they are selling .

If you want my opinion - if they were really scammers they would have cut all contact all together. They just sound completely incompetent and possibly idiots.

£350 sounds a good price even for a spares / repairs dt so I would just make sure it doesn't happen again.

Maybe they have gone down then I haven't looked in a couple of years but then you would struggle to get running 'field' one for less than 500

to be honest from that advert with pic and price I would kinda expect nothing else but a stolen or junk bike .

has it got those mags wheels on ? so whats the actual bike look like ? anything like the one in the pic ?

true I think if it looks anything like that pic above then he got a  bargain field bike for £350 .

I see some real scrappers  change hands all the time with numbers ground off go for £400-500  I mean look at this one alone

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291065973522

£185 only 3 miles down the road from me aparently the frame numbers in tact shouldnt be too hard to get it up and running

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191052077632

£102 for wrx wheels :D getting them delivered by the seller at 5am lool as he is going to the airport, plus he is throwing in a wrx headlight and a front fender for another 10 and might get the digital clocks off him for cheep aswell so its looking up to be a nice little project :)

not even the mags or lights or anything. i cannot even see if the engine runs as there is no way of starting it. when the other one comes tomorrow i might just swap some parts for a second to see if it runs. the woman said she will post me a reciept with the engine numbers in there

This one is an 89 model Italian import, I asked for the frame number and checked it when it was on ebay.
