So bike needs to be run in ive seen people say 300miles + running in low rpm but some say uses different 2stroke oil do i need to or can i use castrol or rock oil fully synthetic do i need to check bolts again after some miles incase bolts come lose. anything i need to do or just ride slow running in some say don't sit at same rpm for ages very the rev or something ?
Warm your bike up well before each ride (duh), use a good quality oil and stick to it and just take it easy for 500 miles.
Stay out of power band and just cruise around, fast gear changes, don't labour the throttle too much, just open her up gradually over every 100 miles or so until you get to the 500 mark. Then you can start to open her up fully.
Fin.

when i got my bike tank was full oil tank if over half should i take some out to low mark and refill with castrol oil instead or using stuff which could be cheap **** what would you do change? just wondering
So if my bike has full oil tank and i don't no what it is its green what would you do change it or use its
We've covered this... why are you asking the same questions and wasting peoples time? People are trying to help, but it does get annoying when you ignore it. empty it and buy good quality.
As for running in I have to doubt that you'll take any notice to what we say at all but here we go.......its about not putting the enging under too much load. Keepin the revs changing and keeping the gears changing. Dont go full throttle. Dont sit at a constant speed for ages ( ie on dual carriage ways). just nip around hanging gears and taking it easy for 500 miles. Always warm it up before you ride it. Start it on choke if needed and turn choke off straight away. let it warm up with gently revving until the exhaust gets hot before riding.
I just did three heat cycles (hot then let it cool then warm it up), took it easy for 100 miles letting it rev freely avoiding high load on the engine (i.e going up hill in a high gear) then just pinned it everywhere. The longer you warm it up the better each ride. I left mine ticking over for 5-10mins put gear on then went out took it easy for a mile or so, then full rev.
i was going to put this in seen on google people use it they say its top stuff ? SILKOLENE COMP 2 PRE MIX 2 STROKE OIL 1 LITRE

so use for a 100 miles or so then use racing oil like castrol tts oil or SILKOLENE COMP 2 cause people say its best but all same but okay thanks will order that !!!
it takes 300 mile to run a fresh top end in and 500 mile for a fully rebuilt 1 with 3 heats cycles before you even think about revving it or taking it on the road then your 1st 100 mile dnt go any higher than 5k rpm then 100 to 200 go to 6 to 6.5krpm then 200 to 300 go to 7krpm and 7half k rpm then 300m plus swap your 2t oil and let the little beast roar. as for the 3 heat cycles and just riding it normal is the wrong way to run in a dtr its only for off road bikes as their gona go bang before they get the chance to do 500 mile
if you think about it good oil protects things stops wear. were as a mineral oil doesn't as such it helps bed the moving parts in which you want av spoke to a 2 stroke specialist and the first thing he said was dnt use a fully synthetic oil use mineral are part synthetic
300 miles to run in a topend. Never heard such rubbish.
Three heat cycles of hot and cold and your rings are bedded in.
Just don't put any high load on the engine.
Mine started first kick every time. It was bullet proof, all I did was three heat cycles no high load on the engine for 100 miles and then pinned it everywhere. The key is in your warm up procedure.
Each to their own, I guess. But personally I think you're all going over the top with running in.
Also don't buy that Mineral oil, just go down one grade to that low smoke stuff moped oil. All I did. My engine was rebuilt by Norfe and is still beating stronger than ever, some 1,000-2,000 miles later....

Honestly boxing u dont half talk some ****tt theirs no way on gods earth that 3 heat cycles bed the rings in to the bore av ran 4 engines in now and it takes more than a 100 miles to run a top end in
