Powervalve not as it should be

Mine is the same when the holes are lined up the valve isn't quite flush in the exhaust I have to have the pulley wheel slightly of line to get it flush in the port

Here is a picture, with the power valve smooth in the port the pulley alignment is like this. It sounds like mine is the same as Phils.

Also the new exhaust gasket I bought a while ago was to big to fit in the recess on the barrel so I thought I would get a copper one, also this doesn't fit in the recess is this normal with the copper gasket? and will it crush to fit?

Should it not fit in the recess hole and crush in there rather sit just on the outside? It looks close to fitting in the recess, I have never seen these copper ring gaskets before.

mine did not sit 100% but when tightened up it crushed and fitted correctly :p

Do you have the valve set so its flush or so the holes line up ? I have mine so the holes line up

I have managed to turn the housing a little bit to get the holes a little bit closer to lining up but I have the PV smooth with the port.

Ah i see what you mean now. Interesting one. Can you take the pulley wheel off and check what shape the recess is on the back and what shape the end of the valve is ( where the pulley bolts to it).

There are two different shapes and this could be the reason. One is diamond and one is rounded ended rectangle. If it is the diamond it can be restricted.
