Am I not understanding about tail tidys?

Hi guys. I've looked through this section numerous times, but not got my answer. I want a tail tidy for my 2003 DTR. I've looked at the R&G one on ebay, but the picture shows it fitted to the RE, although it says it fits all years. Obviously I need one with a brakelight, as the plate holder and rear light are all in one on the DTR. I want it to be as hassle free to fit as possible really. I don't mind if I still have to drill to fixing holes to the rear plastic panel. It also needs to be able to work with the hpires rear plastic, if I get one in the future. Cheers, Ryan.

I find the acerbis one does all i need it to do. Fixed via rear panel. Lots of people use them.

Nice one. I actually prefer the look of the acerbis one as it goes, was just worried it faces skywards too much for the numberplate. I've ordered some small indicators today and might get a 8x6 flexible plate and see how it look with the standard mudguard/plate holder first.

You say you've ordered your small indicators big? did you go for normal bulbed or LED ones? as unless its stated with the advert, you'll need a different type of relay for LED ones.

I just went for normal bulbed. These are the ones, look a bit like the standard ones, but smaller and smoked:

I did look at them, but it still says about the resistors, so I got put off. I didn't know if 5w bulbs would be too low to switch the relay or not?

I might invest at that price and just switch when I fancy it!

Handy to have as back up spares on a Sunday, plus the rubber stem gives it a little give if you accidently knock against it
