Can anyone suggest some decent tyres for the dtr? Just had the conversion done put the bike into a corner today and the front almost washed out, managed to get it to grip but that made the back go out lol, somehow held it around the majority of the corner, went to straighten out and the damn thing almost kicked me off

i weren't going fast as i know not to trust knobblies on the road, low revvs in 3rd, and i cant have been low at-all otherwise the front would have just washed straight out and dumped me on the road

im after some tyres that give decent grip onroad but are man enough for offroad, as the majority of time im hittin the trails

cheers

Bridgestone trailwing on the front and Dunlop trailmax on the rear are on my xt, good all round tyres for on / off roading

I've bought trailwings all round for the bike im doing at the moment. Got a good deal on them from M&P but reviews seemed excellent. I did ride 2050 miles on a set of the cheapo ebay ones and they were fine but better to pay the extra and get decent tyres.

are the tyres I rode on. They were fine for me but are budget remember. You get what you pay for.

Maxxis IT'sforget the trailwings useless for anything but dry dirt and rocks

I can vouch for these off road, decent on road just don't lean hard

I don't run these size's though, im 90/90 on front and can't remember rear off hand

I know when i race mx i normally keep them at 15 psi, but real wet only really go down to 12 psi

If your doing more low speed enduro though, i just let em down until they look fairly flat, dont know the exact psi tbh, but dont go down too low or your more likely to get a puncture
