Another kickstart problem

So I bought the idle gear and kick mechanism of a friend who had lots of tzr spare parts.
We fitted it and it worked very nice at his place.

Half way home I started to hear a sound from the engine, sounded like the transmission was about to fall apart or smthing :D
I pulled over and was gonna listen where it came from, but I could only get off the bike before it bogged.... -.-

I took of the top end, but piston and cylinder were fine...
Then I took of the clutch side of engine and the whole kickmechanism just fell straight out

My Question is: Why would the kick mechanism fall out ?? lol

not much holding them in place at least on the dtr the case mainly holds it in place and if you take the case of with out remove the kick starter lever then the rest comes with it .
