Don't worry. DTRX's don't derestrict that well anyway. It's still very restricted. Rag away. It'll fail because it's over due piston change or oil change.

Nothing. It'll really struggle to red line. Gets to about 10k and does nothing.

The thing you'll end up doing is shutting off the throttle and starving the engine of oil.

I think 2strokemx has small gearing, allowing him into the redline

Anyway there should be a wire in the clocks that has been cut/pulled out of the 4pin connector

and wired to the frame/earthed somewhere. You will need to reconnect this wire

On mine the DTR there is a sensor in the clocks instead you just pull it out and tuck it away

Wouldn't worry about it too much, not like you derestrict and suddenly it's gonna be as reliable as an mx bike. Like cal said they don't really rev over 10/11k anyway so you can't really do much damage like that

Ok cheers guys, yeh like victor said ive got low gearing, its because i was pinned second, but when i shift to 3rd it just about strokes the band... Was worried that if i held it in 2nd pinned all the way up whether it would damage it

Same bike as me. It was stolen and ragged with little/no oil for 365 miles. Got it back and it started fine. No scoring to the barrel. As said they're heavily restricted the newer ones. Even derestricted the top end is still heavily restricted. And the mid range. A zeeltronic showss all.

Sweet, that gives me the excuse to stay top-end rather than constantly trying to shift!! Cheers guys
