Yeh thats the only problem, a crash can put you off, best things to get straight back on the bike i think
Its like this geezer this weekend gone came past me, scrubbed a single before the straight hard, didn't get the back in bounce around flipped, bike landed on him i stopped dropped my bike ran back got his bike off of him asked if he was ok he was out cold, **** myself but managed to move him into the recovery position thats about as far as my knowledge goes luckily marshals turned up, geezer came back round but when he was breathing he was like bubbling as if there was liquid blocking his airways, marshals started shouting down there walkies for a medic and thats when i thought, ***t this guy could die right here right now if he's pierced his lungs with a rib or something, so i thought i would walk back to my bike and look away just incase he did, because that would effect you big time

Mx is funner than enduro i think, flows real nice not as frustrating and nothing beats the feeling of clearing that jump you've been working all day at :D

I got hit off my Gsxr, shook me up bad. I was riding again 3 days later, although iv'e come to the conclusion car driver's are just moron's and don't ride the same anymore.

Always assume they haven't seen you! never trust them

I find MX a bit too serious if I'm honest I've been riding up the woods for years so it's more my thing I suppose. Love a good hill climb as well if you look at google maps around frimley, deepcut, pirbright and that sort of area, the amount of woodland is unreal, nice and hilly especially up deepcut! Always funny if you make a climb and your mate doesn't, wait at the top pissing yourself watching them struggle aha.

Know what you mean about it being dangerous and putting you off though, my mate saw someone hit a root flat out, bloke went over the handle bars really bad apparently. Whole event stopped, medics called out the lot. Another bloke lost his back end before even getting on to the trail somehow, ended up with a radial fracture on his leg! Probably more dangerous riding these sort of enduro's, flat out at least anyway because of all the root and trees. But we all know the risks, what makes it fun! Might as well take up knitting otherwise lol

Yes thats what provides the buzz! You dont need to do a big jump, but you do anyway! Its a fact humans are the only animal in the world to intentionally put themselves in danger for fun!
I never trust any drivers when im on my bike, brakes aren't very good at-all really for sudden stops, correct me but i dont know of any bikes with any kind of abs? Not im my price range anyway lol, so you just skidd

Haha watch your mate, best thing ever
Yeh i found going onto the mx track abit intimidating at first, feel like there's no mercy everyones out there to kill you but because i started in the novice/beginners group, everyone is at the same skill range and no ones aggressive, theres no fighting for lines everyone gives way to eachother, theres certain points on the track where people just pull off to have a rest or watch etc, some people seem happy enough to just poodle around

Yeh tbf enduro at speed does sound abit dodgy, atleast mx tracks are graded and watered, some tracks go out and grade it again halfway through the day at lunch time, oh yeh and no ****erd rutts leading you into trees!

But going back to the handguard thing...that's why they're there ;)

The single biggest problem I had when I went mx was I was getting worn out far too fast. I mean I'm not exactly a fitness freak lol but two or 3 laps I had to come off, arm pump more than anything. I still think that's down the bike though, why I want to try the klx out think I'd enjoy it a lot more on that. Or it could just be me needing to eat less pie and go running once in a while haha.

I think a couple of hondas have started putting abs on their bikes, give it a few years that'll be compulsory I bet. It is quite strange though going from driving 12T lorries at work then jumping on my little 450, one extreme to the other, people tend not to pull out on you if you're encased in that amount of metal though lol, on a bike it's a different story, don't trust anyone now!

Yeh they are good for enduros i'll admit
Mate, as i write this in my free hand i've got an adjustable hand grip exercise thing... I suffer bad!! Half a lap in and you can garuntee i have arm pump, my hands are even worse constant cramp useless after 3 laps, i refuse to do any cardio because i dont get tired my arms and hand just ache!! Got to fix that first
Ive looked into it, annoyingly it helps to be fit as obviously the heart then pumps the blood round quicker, there's various exercises and some of the pro's have surgery, i never use to get it one time at a sand track called rushmere i somehow didn't get any aches or pains was just how much i could take, it was an all day track you go on/off whenever you want, i was out going as hard as i could around the track for an hour and would have kept going if they didn't wave me down because of the track closing!! Awesome feeling only ever had it the once, but as soon as i got into the van to go home i was asleep lol
I haven't ridden for three months maybe thats to blane atm, what do you think makes you get it? Death grip maybe?

I'm pretty sure with me it was because my bike wouldn't idle properly so I'd be off the throttle then braking for a corner clutch in while trying to rev it lol. And I found on the RMX the bars were sat right back in your lap so might just be me but fairly sure the bike didn't make it any better. Shame all my mate's bikes are dead or have been stolen! Dying to get out on it now I've finally got it back! Actually tempted to ride over to chertsey on the 450 on my own, blast round the track then ride back lol

Can't stress how important staying hydrated is, i usually take 1L of water for a decent ride

Do it! Why not it would be quality
With your bars do a session and really attack the course, try as hard as you can but take note as your riding, where do i want these bars to be? You will feel the restriction, especially on the rutts and jumps, so after every session just tweak it ever so slightly, dont go up one notch at a time go maybe half and then knock it down to a quarter for finer adjustment, but do it every time you come back from riding, you will eventually get it spot on! The worse thing you can do is just leave them as they are and try adapt to them, it makes such a difference having your bars right, especially air control

I go through atleast 3 litres of water every time i go practice, loads of food and bananas to fight the cramps

That is some serious fitness, is this mx or enduro? Enduros you can go all day, but look at the pro's in mx, going as hard as they can for a 40 minute race and their knackered, if you are going as hard as you can for hours you are an cyborg or something

It wont be your fitness suffering to start with on the mx track, it will be your body
