Cagiva W8 125 - Enduro style with mito engine

So a friend who buys and sells bikes was offered this cheap but didnt fancy it. He put me in touch with the seller and I went to view.

Had never heard of them before and very little info on them and even fewer parts.

Its shares some parts with the super city 125. It has the mito engine in. This one has a mitka barrel on it. The engine was fully rebuilt at a cost of £450 which i have the reciept for parts and labour at a garage in horsham. It needs a few things but should be a nice little run around when i get it running. 31bhp engine apparently. Not sure how the mitaka barrel changes this but you can get a brand new barrel ( plated) on ebay for under £200.

I havnt even had it running yet. I bought it and just stuck it in the garage and havnt moved it since. Watch this space.

I had a Mito, once I chopped the pipe to bits and re-welded it, it revved past its previous limited self and was fun, in fact a lot of fun for a 125, I also think this will be interesting, keep us informed on progress

Yeah defnitly an interesting one. Thats generally what captures my imagination and makes me buy bikes. As i say, finding info and parts seems to be the hardest thing. Not alot around on them. If anyone can find anything then let me know as im struggling.

Well what info you want? If it's a mito engine, the loom is probably the same

wheels and forks look same as DT's

Front and rear mudguards look same as DT's so does headlight surround

As for engine parts just get mito parts? and DT parts for the rest?

I think the rx 125 exhaust is that side too, so might fit

Source of parts im after really, and anything that anyone might have heard or knows about them. Real info i mean not guess work :P

I dont think any DT parts are going to fit it. Similar style but then most enduro bikes are. Rear panels are a main concern for me at the moment. Theres some in germany and italy but postgage makes them very expensive.

Frame and panels look very similar to the supercity mate, fair bit on ebay for them.

They're mito powered aswell, would be interesting to see if those USD's are a straight swap biggrin
