well so both of the dts that im building have same issues :D
one with gold wheels has a 35mm x 17 x 10 bearing
silver wheels has a 40x17x12
so now what should i do now as there are no bearings avielable that are 32x20x? or 40x20x?
i figured out 4 ways to go with this but im looking to find out which would be lets say cheapest and good to do
there are bearings avialable for both wheels 32x20 or 37x20/42x20 or 37x20
so option 1
get a sleeve machined up with a 35 od and 32 id and drop the smaller bearing in there (got quoted 20 quid per wheel)
option 2
machine out the hubs to take the 2mm os bearings so from 40mm od get it done to 42mm(going to find the price tomorrow)
option 3
making custom spindles probably the most expensive way and wdnt know how to mesure it all out before i can actually drop it on the swing arm (going to find the price tomorrow)
option 4
relace them into dt hubs but i dont really want to do that
i think option 2 would be the best as if in the future i would need to replace the bearings i bet that i wnt be able to get the sleeve out and would have to make another one
let me know what you guys think and maybe you have a good place around london or somewhere i can post to to do a good job at a decent price
not like marine enginerring down the road from me quoted me 50 quid for the sleeves and i would have to get my own materials plus 3 weeks wait
i know checked simply bearings /bearing king and nothing, its like they dont make them, well the gold set aint mine so if the guy wants to pay for the work its up to him. the silver ones are for me and to be honest im just tired of seing every single dtr with excel or saxess wheels, i want something different :D but eventually i would probably paint them black and red hahah
i know but the rear brake disc is too big hahah :D well got to get a brake now too, it all seams cheep at first but than
70 wheels
10 bearings
machining 20
brake 24
plus i want to get rid of that 130 and put a 150 on there
so not soo cheap over all :P
