Yes man looking good! For your first time on the track it looks like your attacking that jump! You will get the fever soon and ditch your spongy enduro for a mx bike ;) what was the bike like over the jumps allright?
Grip the bike with your legs hard, thats where you will get your air contril from, combine that with throttle to bring the front up rear down and back break for the opposite, this will give you maximum control
Also when you take off bend your knees and lean forward, keep the throttle on and try not to bounce with the bike, it will kick your feet off the pegs
Thanks seiki and I did try gripping my legs but it was still throwing me of think it may be to do with not enuf power over the jump or not smooth throttle over the jump been reading quiet a bit
Yes maybe, you want smooth power but that doesn't mean you have to be going fast, when i first started i would actually go up a gear too high, then i would pin it up the face of the junp and it provides nice smooth power, not snappy and i didn't have to worry about throttle control
I think i know what you mean and i would agree in saying its because of the lack of power your putting down on the face of the jump, think of the rebound on the suspension, you need to keep power down in order to keep the suspension compressed up the face of the jump; then in the air it rebounds. If your rolling the jump there may not be enough force to keep it compressed and it may rebound on the top of the face.... I dont know tbh mate, thats my thinking
When do you begin to stand in preperation before the jump? If you are getting up too late it will buck you for sure; or are you unintentionally seat bouncing? If your sitting down on the face and takeoff then standing up in the air it will kick your ass off when you go to get up if done wrong
I get it every now and then aswell, keep the power on i seem to get it when im rolling jumps, ah and also dont push down and preload it on the face of the jump either, this can make you feet come off the pegs, let the bike do the work matey
Haha i may know a little about the rights and wrongs in mx, but that dont mean im the nuts at riding ;) its easy to say stuff 10x harder to do, i need to focus on my raw speed now, probably mid pack in the inter group
Do you know mill lane mx aka churchill mx? Really good track to ride, got everything there for you to practice, or if you know golding barn im going there this saturday coming
