Guys, my 2 year cbt just ran out and im thinking about selling my dt... calm down its not definate yet
what do you think my dt is worth? 2007, its got minimal rust, nice condition in general the only bad thing is when i dropped the ****ing thing the other day and scratched my dep expansion chamber and a *rear side panel (*to which im looking for a replacement, anyone?) other than that its mostly been on road, i took it offroad for abit but didn't end up riding it all that much, never crashed or anything offroad. Its done 15,000 miles never had a rebuild, fully derestricted full dep system, i have ALL the bits for the dtr/x conversion, including different chains and sprockets. I will upload more pics if required

Sm's get more money. £1500-2000. I'd check the bore. 15k is about time for a simple piston change but I'd check the condition and let the new owner sort that out. It's not something you'd get your money back on.
I think the market is about to take off for these as well.
looks clean due a for piston would say about the 1500 mark but as said above that sticker would make me run a mile dont ask why but monster stickers of any kind make me click the back button just as fast as having 3 mates in nike with hands down trackies.
also a great trick for advert pics clean and poilsh everything and ride it out to where there is some nice middle class or posh homes for pic or even some wiked country location or a beach .
can also help to get ya dad or grandad to bike gear uo abd be in a pic like the mature owner

What was it originally? A DTX? Make sure you sell it with DTX in the eBay ad if so, they seem to go for a bit more money.
Rip the Monster Energy stickers off, take it to a nice country lane or a car park, anywhere except your house for the pictures. Then make sure you have a good write up on the sites you stick it on, nothing about the piston may needing to be replaced soon, it just puts some buyers off. And make the write up look professional.
Don't put a tale of how you come into the bike and keep it nice and short, but be honest about the bike.
P.S if you stick it on any sites and it asks for an address, never put your address. Quite a few people have had their bikes / cars stolen doing this.

very true about the address ...its not the address thats a give away its when they take pics in front of or around the house also door number showing or painted in wheelie bin then the postcode shows roundabout area a local theif with instantly know if he has walked past your house in the past or would take 5 mins to troll google street view .. then you get people that say but they can call and get my adress anyway . yes they can but at least you maybe have a number maybe state no withheld numbers to call .. or use another address for sales or meeting buyers .
I would never give my real address I have in past and had a car full of chavs with kids and gf in tow was like a garden party kids asking to use toilet ect ...
so after that I use the local police station thats just at end of street post code and when they come to view meet them near there in the pub carpark always take not of buyers reg plate and even sometimes get them and car in a phot with bike [easy to do with phone]
you can bet 1 in 5 buyers is only 100% intrested in nicking it and getting to see where its stored some cases your shed -security and lighting and a real muppet has what locks and chains on show .
Ok cheers guys good advice, i would have just taken pictures of it on my drive, thanks for the heads up!! I live in a detached house with nothing but woods to my left and a house 30metres on the right, so it wouldn't be hard to find my house
Haha the stickers, they were on there when i bought it, just never bothered taking them off, apparently makes the bike faster
Originally a dtx, says it in the log book, so i will have to change it all back, just something i noticed though i found its cheaper to start with a dtx and have both set-ups as appose to starting with a dtr, somewhere around £100-150 and i had everything i needed to convert it to a dtr
Im in no rush, should i rip off all the L plate stuff aswell?
trick is to come across as a responsable mature rider duno about the L plates after all it ios a 125 .
if some one asks and they will is it fast as fck ..reply with not sure it could easy do say 70+ but I have never reved the arse off it or tried taking it in to the red.
hate when they say its rapid will do 80 to 100 easy and wheelies all day in all gears that realy puts me off anything that sounds like its been raped or pushed to its limits .
this is a mate of a mates bike I think pics like this look great for a sale advert think he paid around or over 2k for this about a year ago .
Yeh it does make the bike allot more attractive, gives it character rather than just a machine
Tbh i dont know any dt that loves the back wheel, i will just say it is fully de restricted nice smooth engine, capable of 70+ if you are on the motorway and say how it does decent mpg etc
Does anyone have a rear side panel i could get off them by any chance? Got scratched to fook when i dropped it
The panels are quite expensive or the ones you find are quite rough with scratches. Probably be easier to give it a light coat of spray paint. Or take it to a mechanic and ask them how much to give it a quick spray.
I wouldn't even put the speed. It's irrelevant. As is MPG, seeing as that's your riding style, everyone's MPG will be different. If you do put it, put emphasis on it being yours like "I got X MPG" :)
