If you want a supermoto 400CC the DRZ is the one to go for if you want reliability. The other supermotos are more race bikes, so more maintenance and blow up more frequently. The DRZ would be fine with the maintenance intervals. And as long as you don't ride it flat out 24/7 it'll last you for miles and miles to come. Of course, if you want a fast bike go for a 400CC super.

I found all the drz's i rode really lazy, suspension weren't all that but they are relitively cheap for a half decent one

That's true the drz is more of a commuter. It's like comparing dt 125 supermoto to aprilia mx 125 . They both are good but aprilia is more fun power wise but blows up much often. It all depends down to if you like spending some time to do proper maintenence ? And what you mostly want to use the bike for?. Why not go for husqvarna 610?

The WR is the same as every bike. Good until it goes wrong. Engine rebuilds aren't cheap and pushing a big supermoto home isn't nice. They probably weigh more than a DT and my DT was a nightmare to walk home, sweat dripping from me all over. Doesn't help when it's summer and in full gear, hah.

But if you really want one, there isn't much people can say to put you off. But I guarantee you'll regret it when it pops.

Argh I seen that 426 on Facebook! Saying it cuts out after a bit! Could be one of 2 things either the valves or spark plug! With it being a 426 I'd say it's the plug these things are honestly dogs! Worked on a few around 2 years ago! Hated them at times! Compression was to fierce to be trying to start in a pair of vans!

Yeah I know I've told him if he gets one I'll smack him! They're good bikes if maintained, I tried to get this one but funds wouldn't allow me! My cr goes in 3 weeks so see what's about then!

400 and 426 are prone to dropping valves, the 450 is a lot more reliable but you need to keep on top of it. CRF450X is a good bet but I dont think a grand will buy you one.........
