i got a pg9 form for a missing bolt in my seat, he said the vehicle was too dangerous to ride and i have to push it home and get a fresh mot on it. the officer said my tail tidy was illegal but it has the E mark on it so it meets european standards.
Then he said he gave me a section 59 on the bike but he handed me no paperwork for that ? is that right ( he said i was driving in a dangerous manner. he didn't see me and all i was doing was driving up a car park he just herd my bike)
The **** also went over my bike with a fine tooth comb trying to **** me on anything lol. to top it off he threw me in the back of the van while he looked over my bike and he tried to snap my seat.
just to say what a ****ng toss pot **** sucking **** ....

just one of those coppers on a bad day we all had em ..
I would take pics and dispute some of his claims but then again he could say you changed things after he stoped you . his word over yours and he would win
in some cases you just have to suck it up pay any fines and get on with your day .
realy handy to have a camera handy at times like that and start recording you are allowed to film so should be no problem althou you will get coppers that say you can not film at wich point ask under what law and if that is the case he better arrest you for it as you intend to make a full complaint and take it all the way .
Yeh no fines just an appernt section 59 that he never gave any paper work for and that pg9 I plan to get it sorted and get the mot station to sign it off then appeal saying it went through the mot fine the officer was out to get me.

my opinion you do right . they count on us riders/drivers not knowing the law and in 99% of cases people just shut up and pay up .
I also am the type that if I think or know I am with in the law or correct I would kick up a real fuss and take it as far as I could .
I learnt many years ago that if you pull a camera on a dick head copper they soon change their tone do a little reading on filming in public and filming the poilce try to remeber as much as you can and qoute it back to them if they ask you to stop filming .
most coppers remember nothing from police school and are fast to get on the radio to get clear on facts about law they realy are clueless .
Yeah we've all had them... Me and my brother got pulled on our way back from Barnsley. He was riding his KTM 400, me on my gilera scooter at the time
Pulled us over, asked my brother for his license (he has a full license & Honda CBR1000) "To check its actually you riding it"
Next he turned to me, license, documents etc. Then went r to bollock me over the BRAND NEW Continental tyre I'd just bought from Ron Daley's gaffer taped to my rucksack. Apparently carrying a dangerous load? At that point I just shut up and let him finish his power trip.
Again from experience of being pulled for pointless stuff other than just to let you know 'who's in charge', and also from having them at my house for 2 bikes I had stolen on separate occasions to be told "they've gone in a van" - yeah a 125cc scooter, then my DT last year both in a van?
They don't give a **** who you are or what your story is, they'll be tossers because it's their job.

I must consider myself lucky. I live in an area where I rarely get pulled. And When I do they're extremely generous. I've been pulled for speeding and no L plates and on both occasions they threatened my license but gave it back after I promised to improve.
I don't mind they tend to want the best for you. At the end of the day it's usually them and the paramedics that have to sweep your dead ass off the pavement. I can only imagine that that sh→t scars you for life. I know it's annoying but I'd rather have my license taken off me than be dead....
I always find if you're genuine, polite, bit you tongue and show respect 9/10 they let you off.

You shouldn't have to though if you're doing nothing wrong. Police are here to serve us, somehow they forgot this.
Harassing Danny for a missing seat bolt, isn't tax money well spent. Real crime's need solving/preventing.
Funny how the police dedicate team's to the road/drug's(thing's they can easily profit on) but not to thing's people care about like mugging/assault/burglary
I don't want to admit this although I am guilty of riding without bolts in my seat :( If I got pulled and done for that. I'd be livid! Especially with some of the Driving I see these days.

its very common and we all know they are sent out with a target to me for that day to dish out said number of tickets or fines to bikers .
one of the worst places near me is a meca for bikers in summer and they pray on us hiding in corners waiting to jump out and nick you for anything they can
matlock as you can see its a real biker hot spot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNT0_n7_zX0
as you can see in this old pic from about 6 years ago . take my mate out for his first ever ride out and they jump on us I could even hear them talking about what or if they could nick/fine us for anything and was a good hour stop as they checked over everything on the bikes .
sorry for the old pics samsung d600 camera lol
think they got us for all manner of small things cut down L plates - slack chains - number plates -
thing is i have to have another FULL mot tomorrow i only did it april the 30th. im going to appeal against the section 59 ( which i have no paper work for he just said i have one) and the bolt missing out my seat was fixed in 10 mins.
my mates was saying to me that when he put me in the back of the van he was trying to break my seat off my bike but he couldnt. and i spoke to him with full respect all the time he was talking to me like scum and its funny how he only targeted me out of 3 bikers lol

pay for the mot and take it on the chin pal..next time ensure that the bike is roadworthy and give them no excuses to pull you over then.
right size numberplates, l plates, lights all working- bodywork not hanging off etc or at least securely fixed - that way way when they check over the can find nothing wrong.
yeh i will dread just happened to be missing 1 bolt but it wasnt like the seat was falling off it was still secure

i can almost guarantee you will be getting pulled for both your L plates too mate- having spoken to a traffic bobby when i first put mine on the road- they are not visible enough for other road users- can rack up to some serious points there on just those 2 issues mate-last thing you want!
should sail through mot if only recently done- good luck
you can see my l plates from the back im a big guy and the dt sits low with me on it

I got pulled over by the traffic police for an apparently over slack chain When I took it to the M.O.T station he just looked at and said it was fine and stamped/signed the ticket.
Just thinking about it you said they put you in the back of the van. They treated you a like a criminal when you've done nothing wrong. That is incredibly harsh.
yeh van lol he said he was the chief vehicle inspector for merseyside police

Checked my bike over an said about no indicators being illigal, phoned traffic cops an got told otherwise ;) my L plate was like yours but on hpires mudguard let me off cozhe could see i go off road alot, brake light wasnt working at the time but never noticed luckily an they were mx use only tyres! checked mikes bike over which is mint like you said an had spanking new pirellis on an full mot week before an his "colleage" tried sayin it had all sorts of problems haha. done me for the tail tidy.. fully road legal an even says on the lense but i forgot haha said it points up too high...
Got a vdrs an took it to mot station next day an the tester pissed himself an stamped it an said on my way
Mot passed. now down to the cop shop to get the prohibition removed

and a complaint i hope! if your stating he put you in the back then that is an abuse of power and if you don't report then your just going to let it happen to some other soul.
