What Year Is Your DT(s)?

As title suggests, what year is your DT?

Mines a 1997.

Curious to see which DT's you've all got. I'm guessing the older DTR's will be most popular. smile

2007, hands down the best year, fastest year, best build quality, best looking, best reliability, kicks out the most bhp when de-restricted, and handles the best

Not to mention the better fuel efficiency compared to the older ones

Somehow more comfortable aswell thinking about it, probably due to the high quality seats on the 07's

I'm sure the older one's are faster they rev off the clock and the shape of the new one's just doesn't look like a dirt bike.

Lol. Most of that is wrong lmao.

Looks are opinionated.

Handles yes.

Fastest NO!

Build quality is shocking from 1999  onwards. They were made in Spain NOT JAPAN!

BHP no. The ignition is so unbelievably restricted it's laughable.

My favourite yes.

Q plates are for vehicles that aren't known of the manufacturer or year, why have you gotten two Q plates?

one stolen recovered, one was stolen/crashed/written off/scrapped in that exact order lol

the stolen recovered one,guy had his bike knicked.

police recovered everything apart from the frame.

he got another frame and q plated it.

2 weeks later the police rung him to say they'd found his frame with numbers.

he told dvla who promptly voided the frame number and q plated that as well...

Oh I see.

You didn't have any of them stolen from you did you? If mine got stolen I'd probably tell the thieves to keep it or burn it. It's ran premix chances of them premixing the fuel is highly unlikely they probably grudge / steal the petrol they put in them anyway. Don't want that feeling of them all trashing it either.

Had a stolen recovery pit bike, was nothing but a pain in the backside. Was mint when I had it, once it got stolen and come back, it was unreliable. Heat siezed not long after was still running with a heat seizure but kept over-heating. Got stolen again not long later, hah.

******* thieves i hate them, god its winding me up just reading that!! Was reading in the paper recently and some high profile woman got burgled, so she went to put up a spiked fence around her garden and that and they wouldn't let her because they said if someone tried to climb over it onto her property and hurt themselves on the spikes, she would be liable!!!

I put up a sign on my land saying "Private Property, enter and you will be shot' or something like that lol, a day later it was gone... So i put up another one (less savage) saying 'private property, enter at your own risk'... Got a visit from the ol bill, they took that one down aswell

I know of a few people that have said that. The feeling of the scumbags riding/driving their pride and joy makes them feel "different" inside the car/bike. Sadly some of them had lovely cars and were only driven a couple of miles away then dumped. One had a lovely C20LET Vauxhall Astra MK3 GSI. They burnt it out under 10 miles away from his house. :(

Hope you aren't at the same address you got the last two stolen mate. Thieves are known to return to addresses they've hit before hoping the owner replaced the bike(s) with the insurance money.

Invest in some Almax chain and padlocks (The chain is only as strong as the padlock you use) and alarms. Along with garden lights with sensors. Also come in handy for you, can see your whole garden if you get a good bright one and see if anyone is hiding behind the bushes. I've been known to go out in the garden with weapons when a cat set it off though... Hah. biggrin

Was ok, sounded lovely......... bike ran sweet with it speedo off the clock 80 plus. Don't know what it will be like on a newer bike.

DT was the most stolen bike in the country years ago, don't know about these days.
