Good field bike??

Hey guys, can anyone reccommend a good bike just for going around the woods on strictly offroad, not a dirt bike waay to noisy, obviously something like the ty 250 i posted in the video section is ideal, but they go for stupid money because there a 'classic'... Anything for under £500 cheers guys, was after another one anyway even if i do get the ty running

oh and no trial type thing without the seat, useless

One of them "field bike only" DT's for under 500 is all i can think of, pretty dam quite with the standard exhaust on.

But really if all you want to spend is 500 you won't get much more than a stolen bike/broken bike.

if you could get a little bit more could get something like this road legal for when you get a full licence.

Does look quite juicy, probably abit to big and bulky like the dt for my woods

That CRM 250 would be about as loud as an MX bike if not louder with that FMF pipe.

Nah quiet as **** they are. Brilliant trail bike not too peaky but if your woods riding it's probably perfect. Wouldn't mind another one I commuted on mine not a single problem with it, admit they are a bit more juicy than a 450 4t equivalent, but you get that lovely 2t smell so it's all good ;)

Honda C90's are actually quite good if you switch the wheels for some off-road ones.

Get nicked a lot around here, pretty much pit bike engines and bullet proof. Semi-automatic but you can get a 160CC engine off eBay and fit a clutch lever and be laughing all day long.

I was thinking about a pit bike but they are so noisy, and they aren't that great anyway, limited capabilities on them, dont help that im 6'3 either

Avoid Pit Bikes.

Absolute junk. All the ones I've had, I'd have dead within a week or bits falling off.

Weren't even jumping them or anything, just odd little bump in the fields and parts would be wrecked or falling off, wheel bearings, exhaust silencer snapped off and then the handlebars came off and I crashed it... Whilst getting chased by youths trying to steal it... Needless to say they got it. hahah.

Oh yeah, not to even mention the overheating. And trouble to start when warm was like kicking a 250CC up full jump on the kick start to fire it up. Half seized through the box.
