Problems with YBR125
Permalink

Hello. I have 4 stroke '05 YBR125 for commuting and i have some problems with it.

It tops out at 90km/h and the fuel consumption is 5l/100km which is too high as far as i know. What could cause this?  I have +1 front sprocket. I have cleaned the carb and air filter, also i installed a new spark plug.

I know that this is a wrong forum, but maybe you can help me out.

When you say cleaned the carb did you check jetting? Is it set up to factory spec? Could the bike be leaking fuel?

Probably best to go back to standard gearing. Not sure if they have those tps sensor's on the carb but if it does check that too.

Yep, they are factory spec. I also experimented with bigger jets, but they increased the fuel consumption even more and didn't provide any real benefit.
No leaks.
AFAIK only the newer fuel-injected ones have tps sensor.
