Won this the other day for penny's on ebay, no engine but freshly powder coated frame mint wheels brakes and plastics. No logbook but the frame number is there under the powder coat. Got a brand new Red tank still in the box of the same bloke "thanks Victor" he put me onto the tank and the bike was in his other items. Don't know what im going to do with it yet.

All the Red plastics from this will probably be for sale if anyone fancy's them, they are literally like brand new with just a few small marks here and there.

Yeah I still have them White plastics but that was to an a******e also. Hopefully someone sensible will buy them. I would photograph them individually and put them in the for sale section. Notice how I said will "probably" be for sale, I don't know yet but .

Looks nice mate

What's the deal with buying bikes without a V5 - a total risk if it comes back stolen?

Ask plenty of questions before you buy, get the vin number and check it out first if you can.

I see engines going for cheap enough, maybe its a cheaper way to just buy the frame and engine seperate?

Nah, ive just sold 2 frames a fortnight ago on ebay. 2007 57 reg and 98 R reg they come up all the time on there. Your frame looks correct to your bike though except the colour.

What year did they do the red ones up to? Could I pass off a 1997 model as a genuine red one? Need either a full kit of blue parts or another colour as mines mis-matched.

Not getting rid of the Red plastics off this thing now, just going to keep them. Not worth the hassle like Cal says with people expecting them to be like brand new out of the wrappers with no marks whatsoever when they are 24 years old.

Don't let one person ruin future sales. I'd have bought them if I could have passed my bike off as a genuine red one. :(

Also the plastics will be good for you if you can get the logbook. Another engine and notify DVLA of engine numbers being changed and laughing to the bank.
