A bastard **** in a van tried to over take me as my lane was splitting into two. I caught sight of him at the last possible moment!

I when ape ****! I stopped in the middle of traffic and told him exactly how it made me feel. I have been on the road for about 3-4 days, and already I have people doing dumb arse **** trying to kill me.

I have seen people on youtube go crazy at people, and watching it you think hmmm he's over reacting abit but when it happens to you. I guess you understand why they are so pissed!

Sadly if you want to ride you will have to expect every car is going to kill you.

Everybody ends up on the floor starring at their pride and joy because of one of these idiot's at some point, so get good insurance and gear.

This is a lie. You will have an accident if you do enough miles.

In fact my examiner on my test, told me how he used to be a courier and consider himself doing good at 1 accident a year doing 100k+ miles.

In my 7 years on road, I have had 1 accident that wasn't my fault on my gsxr and many back when I was 16 a moped...Thing spent half it's life skidding down the road lol

Na, nothing is guaranteed you cant guarantee you will have an accident at some point, thats just stupid, even if statistics suggest it

I can guarantee, riding with the attitude you won't ever crash is stupid wink.

I think we make our own choices, but the more you roll the dice, the more likely you are to roll a 6 if you get me. :) thank god we are all here hey?

You'll be able to start anticipating it soon. Don't watch for drivers to make eye contact, watch their wheels at junctions, move over to the right when they're on left hand junctions and vice versa.

Also the mentality of "crashing will never happen to me" is just stupid IMHO. Most experienced bikers have come off at one stage, if they haven't then either they're weekend or fair weathered riders that don't cover many miles, or one is due. We all crash. It's inevitable, some of us walk away some don't though. Personally I'll dress for the crash rather than the ride.

Also you may want to invest in a loud pipe, perfect for filtering they hear me before they see me. Always filter rev bombing as well.

I never said you will never crash ffs, i meant there is no gaurentee you will crash, i've crashed multiple times offroad but not on-road, you cant say 'we will all crash its inevitable' because its not; yes every statistic points to it and the chances are you will, but you guys seem to say yeh you WILL crash eventually... Bull, if you ride safe and no-one ever makes a decision on the road that makes you crash, then you can go your whole life without a crash

As i say, its very unlikely you will go your whole life without a crash but it does happen

Accidents happen. Had plenty of SMIDSY's and their faces when they finally see you is like you've come down the road faster than lightning and come from nowhere.

Trust me, on a motorbike if you cover a lot of miles, you WILL crash. It isn't will it happen, it's when. It's inevitable. Ask any real biker. Too many idiots on the roads.

I wouldn't say it's 100% chance that you will crash, more like 99.9999% biggrin I've crashed 3 times in 3 years, first time was with my Aprilia SX50, drove into a chain someone had put up between two trees, 2nd time was also with the Aprilia, it was pouring down and the rear brake locked up and I high-sided at 45 MP/H. 3rd time was with the Rieju, first ride of the year + black ice= low-side biggrin
