Wrote the VTR off last night in a little collision with a taxi (100% his fault). I did a diagram for all you lemons. :)
He ran the lights, I know full well mine was about to change but I went anyway and was 100% still green as I got to it. But the taxi man went regardless and clipped the back of the bike and sent me into the barriers in the central reservation. I was thrown off the bike and narrowly missed a post holding the traffic lights. Quite lucky that my only damage was hitting the ground and not getting tangled in the railings or indeed being squashed by a ****ing toyota avensis.
Anyway, bikes been recovered and I think I'm gonna go see it today. From what I remember from last night I doubt very much it's salvageable and will be getting crushed :( unfortunately no pics as I was out getting food so left my phone at home to charge :(
Ah, sucks man. Hope you're all good, bet you're aching today (or the day after the crash.) From the sounds of things, you're very lucky you ain't deaded. Most common death with bikers is hitting other things with their body head first, instant death. Or internal bleeding and your body goes from shock of bleeding.
I'm very wary of taxi drivers, they're a nightmare in every city.
Did you manage to get any witnesses? If so they'd be very helpful as the taxi driver may claim you ran a red light. Maybe the fire fighters were on the forecourt and watched what happened?
Try and grab us some pictures of the bike. I'm guessing the front forks and wheel will be gone along with fairing damage and maybe radiator and engine damage if it crumbled well enough.
I saw TV and I thought mer Saxo. Sorry I know that's a real dick thing to say but that's the truth. I read this earlier and saw the title and decided to comment later since I'm not a Saxo fan.
But was span out when you said bike.
Mate I'm so sorry to hear That! As Luke said you tank. I'm gutted about the bike, my bike is my life and I would be in fcking tears so I feel for you.
