difference in cylinders 3bn & 3mb

Did We ever find out if the barrels are interchangeable ? i have both barrels (3bn y1 and a 3mb y1) and a spare 3bn bottom end will the 3bn cylinder work ?

Yeah the 3BN cylinder worked, but you'll need the 3BN piston. To tell you the honest truth, stick with the 3MB. They changed it for a reason.

cheers cal

the 3bn barrel i have is 56.00mm surely thats the same piston as the 3mb ?

is it true about the redline being 1000rpm lower

they look as if the porting is all the same apart from the rear barrel skirt.

was there any diffrence between the con rods? the stroke length 


i have only brought it as a cheap replacement got it for £19 quid on ebay including postage, if you remember i Brought the other barrel that was +2.00 on bore well its now a static ashtray lol
