I don't mean it will feel like a 4stroke, I meant a 250 still has enough power to pull a high gear low down, I don't mean top gear at 20mph though lol. If it felt **** its carburation must set up ****

Been there with a YZ250, it was set up absolutely **** out of the crate from new, it was that bad I thought it was f****d. That bike learned me how to set up 2stroke MX bikes. Once you get your head around it and it all soaks in its a doddle. F**k all that atmospheric pressure stuff, that all for elevations of over 1000 feet above sea level etc. I ride my MX bikes at sea level, I live 200 yards from the beach and on the top of "mountains/big hills lol" in the Yorkshire Dales and Lake district with no changes whatsoever once they are set up crisp from the bottom end through to the top end.

I doubt the motocross barrel has been ported. They're pretty aggressibly ported from factory and generally made to run in the high revs. Sticking a standard exhaust on would be a good idea. You can really move the power by doing so, just make sure the jetting is corrected. Also make sure you're powervalve is working properly. It'll probably be a sliding gate and they do get stuck open.

I'll give it a chance in drier/grippier weather, i think atm it is just wheel spinning so cant feel how it pulls through the gear yet
