Anyone into RC stuff?

Alrighttttt

So been thinking and since I don't have a toy at the moment (The golf got nicked and burnt out), I thought I would share my other passion with you guys. Anything RC has me loving it, be it helis, plans, drones, quadcopters, motorbikes or cars/trucks. I just ****ing love it. Been planning for a while and decided I'm gonna build myself an RC FPV Quadcopter from scratch. Been consulting the Hobbyking website and looking at bits which I could use to build a relatively high spec quad. Was just wondering if anyone else is into this kinda ****?

I currently have a thunder tiger SP2 truggy (nitro of course) and a E Sky 3D scale helicopter :) I'll get some pics when I've got time. In the meantime...

Thats the kinda thing I'm aiming for :)

Did I read that right? Some git stole the Golf and set it on fire?

You seem to be having some really horrible luck right now. How did they manage to get the keys, they burgled your house as well, I presume?

On topic, I have a RC nitro car/buggy. Absolute nightmare it was, they're difficult to set up correctly or they run rich / lean all the time. And the fact you're standing in a cold field with a remote control. I'd much rather a motorbike.

Was, got too expensive. Used to race Mugenseiki and Serpent 1/8 cars. I use drones for filming sometimes.

Hopefully buying a DJI Phantom 2 soon for the GoPro! If I could make a better one for less money I would consider it!

Sorry to hear about your golf :(

I've always been into everything rc over the years. I recently bought an FTX Brushless buggy (quite a few of the nitro guys I know have switched to brushless beasts ), which I'm in the process of changing the slipper clutch on at the moment - all good fun.

Saying that, after buying my niece a Hubsan q4 nano, for Christmas, I'm now wanting to get a rc plane or quadcopter instead :).

I don't think you can beat the brushless motors. I mean there is something about the two stroke nitro car that I love, but I do know that the instant power from the brushless motors are where it's at. I just like having the instant fuel and the smell of a nitro car.

The car could do with a good polish and grease lol.

Heli is an E-Sky honey bee king 3, not the most expensive or the best but still capable of 3D flight and acrobatic ****. Car is a thunder tiger EB4 S2 pro racing nitro 1/8 nitro car and lots of fun. has a 2 speed gearbox and when I can find a suitable supercharger to fit I'll be doing that too :D
