Sun Visors on Helmets

Do any of you guys have helmets that have the built in sun visors? Just wondering whether they come in handy or more of a gimmick.

I was trying on some helmets in J&S yesterday....some with visors and some without. But I was just thinking whether or not it was worth having the sun visor?

I remember once when i was going through the shady back roads pretty sharpish trying to keep up with my dad on his gsx1400, had the visor down for the sun started getting real shady and dark couldn't see sh*t, almost ended up crashing because i couldn't feel the damn switch thing to bring the shades back up... Yeh they are good for the sun, i would just buy a tinted lense but obv you cannot then use it at night

Thanks lads....Sounds like they can be usefull to some extent.

I'm either gonna get an

Spada Intrepid: www.spadaclothing.co.uk/products.php

Oneal Sierra : www.mx1.co.uk/oneal-sierra-adventure-helmet-black/

Or AGV Evo AX8: www.agv.co.uk/agv-ax8-dual-evo-gt

The Spada fits the best though, so think I'll most probs get that one.

I tried the oneal sierra but thought it was a horrible helmet to wear. I would say the agv is the best out of that list but if the spada is the best fit then go for that. Which j&s did you go to??

Yeah...i didnt really have high expectations for the spada, but it was a nice fit. The oneal is huge...felt like darth vader with it on...looked cool though. The agv was ok, but didnt have the internal sun visor.
I went to j & s in northwich.
