Gash engine. Won't fit. Only the Belgarda 4DL engines that I have are compatible.
You probaby could get it fit. But it would want custom engine mounts etc. the tzr engine I have fittes straight into the dtr re and x frame.
Gash engine, I don't think so they will crack 100 mph easily with no mods at all just the powervalve locked open and the exhaust restrictor removed. Mind you it don't fit the DT like you say. 4FL TZR engines will fit.
No. But it's not so called mods is it. It's a professionally ported barrel by a specialist. And a fine tuned ignition timing by another specialist.
To be fair though aerodynamics counts for a lot. I suppose it got to 80 fairly quickly. If it were in a sports bike tucked behind the visor then yeah maybe touch 100 at silly rpm.
But the actual porting on the stock barrel is extremely mild. The 4DL SP is off the head porting. It's about the same as the Rotax 122 cylinder.
It doesn't use ECU's like the four stroke counterpart. They're fairly primitive design.
The only thing they rely on is the genny. TDC is determined when the stator reaches a certain point. There's a little pickup that detects this and the CDI discharges power. Simple design.
All I did was swap the fly wheel and stators over and use DTRE everything else. Simples :D
The only engine that is a direct fit is the 4DL which can be hard to come ny. Even harder in decent comditiom. Mine needed a full nut and bolt rebuild. Then it's only going to work if you have. Dtre or x because of the way the fly wheel is mounted onto the crank.
