Hi guys, my dt 125r struggles to start, takes about 30 kicks to start, when it starts, it revs up on its own, (had carb ultro sonic cleaned and set up.) not carb issue ruled that one out, would the crankcase seals cause this problem if they are buggered, am i right on thinking air is being sucked in from crank if the seals are buggered, im yet to inspect it, how easy is it to inspect if the seals are gone?

it doesn't idle properly still, the revs will go low but as soon as you touch the throttle slightly it revs go crazy again, i still got my money on the seals though as they've never been replaced, also it has locked up a few times, isnt that the main bearing causing the lock ups? also the seals bringing in too much air?

No spraying wd will drop the revs and that is the tell tale sign of crank shaft seals going.
My advice, if you're going to do an engine rebuild, do it properly. To replace all of the bearings inside the gearbox costs a measly £20. Well worth doing.
Go and pay for Athena full engine gaskets. That's all I use, very good quality and you can use the head. Get lots of locktite. And invest in a 1/4 torque wrench and a haynes. Simple job just take your time and torque it all back up. Easy peasey.
Yeah, I've got athena gaskets, ill save up for full engine gasket kit, new seals, main bearings, seen them for £57 on PJ ME, Koyo bearings too, fly wheel puller £10 cant really go wrong,
