hi is it possible to change crank shaft seal on clutch side without splitting engine? and should my gearbox oil be green? always have been in my time of owning just wondering since the oil i put in was yellow-ish and transparent

Hi guys, my dt 125r struggles to start, takes about 30 kicks to start, when it starts, it revs up on its own, (had carb ultro sonic cleaned and set up.) not carb issue ruled that one out, would the crankcase seals cause this problem if they are buggered, am i right on thinking air is being sucked in from cran...

finally got the engine apart seems as if the crank bearing has seized I cant spin it by hand some of the chrome on the crank has flaked off as if its been rubbing

He lads had a tapping noise in what i thought was my top end piston slap so i had a re-bore and fitted a makita piston kit with RIK rings and the tapping noise has remained. the piston was supplied by me and given to the shop with the barrel with the correct clearances. I have bought an Athena 170cc kit and I am having it ported and I have been told my crank may not take it well lol just woudering if I can buy a racing crank or an uprated crank or cand do stuff to my crank to make it better and if so where to buy from thanks

surely this is not suppost to be there? it hasnt punctured the inlet so i dont think itll cause an air leak, but ill seal it up with hot glue in layers just in case looks like a very neat cut tbh, dont know how it got there, just noticed it while i was cleaning my engine. hi all, i bought a 1986 yz125 engine (1lx) for my dtr. and It needs a complete re-build. The crank that is in it has been damaged and needs replacing. any suggestions on where to look and what makes to look for? did have a little search but came up with nothing. could a newer crank be used? In the middle of an engine rebuild and have found the crank has some surface water damage or similar. Will this effect the engine if just cleaned up? I have a spare tzr 125 bottom end - should and could I use the crank out of it? I have new crank bearings, seals, gaskets and conrod set to go in.
