after a quick tot up of my savings as of this Wednesday I will have a grand total of £1700 saved and still have my gsx to sell .I have given my self till may before looking so should be able to get a nice r or x. probably go for the x as I want a supermoto . any tips on what to avoid
I'd say really, they're easy, cheap, enough to fix/rebuild that as long as you get one for a price you're happy with then that's all that matters. If you don't fancy doing any work to it then yeah naturally it's better to have one that's already tip top, but they're so easy to work on that even if does need a bit of tlc then that's simple enough. We're here as always to give a helping hand.
cheers for the reply's. will be dragging a mate along with me so don't get hit with the shiny bike bug. went with him and stopped him getting a 600 bandit looked ok in the adds.. heap when we got there . although he talked me out of getting a dt before which is why I have a gsx......lol. putting it up for sale in the next few days..still not to shore whether to get a dtr and convert to supermoto or just get a dtx
I suppose the buyer and the kind of house he lives in would kind of give an indication, however that could just be stereotyping. But if the owner came out in a grey tracksuit i'd be wondering about how he kept it.... Everyone on here probably knows alot more about the bike than me. But they're kind of a chav magnet
Yeah. Whilst I agree partly, so long as engine numbers match the V5, the frame numbers match and the bike pulls nicely, everything else can be done on the cheap.
