Servo not doing its cleaning cycle.

hey just a quick question.

when i turn my key on my dt125re the server doesnt do its cleaning cycle, ive opened it up and the cables are fine but to further inspection iv noticed the servo tries to spin but it only makes a little nudge.

im unsure on what any causes could be.

when i rode it like this this morning. it had a lack of speed and acceleration and felt extremely flat.

any ideas on a cause?

cheers for the help.

If you take the wires that turn the valve out of the housing, then turn the ignition on and off. Does it do it when there is no load?

So remove the wires from the mechanism and see if it's the fact that the valve is causing excessive load. It may be the case that the valve has got stuck and the motor isn't designed to pull excessive load.

Aye it's sounding like it.

Remove the rubber and just make sure the cable hasn't got caught.

Failing that you will have to do a reisistance test to see if it falls into spec.

Chances are, if it was working fine before, and has broken now, then yeah motors gone. Not to worry, plenty can be picked up cheap enough, or a new one can be bought from someone in Germany for a very reasonable price.

How did I forget that one Dread. This is why we need people to come on more often.

Completely forgot. Yeah there are more than one thing it can be.

But usually dread, even when the battery is dead, it will run off the genny.

Once the engine is running it doesn't need the battery for the YPVS to operate, the battery is only for the cycle without the engine running. Its only a 5 wire servo they are cheap as chips like Cal says.
