Is it possible to use a kn filter I don't think the air box fill fit in my frame 

was thinking of useing the kn an cut the original air box down so it goes over the filter so it doesn't suck in water when in rains

I just use a ram air filter on my dt. I ride i. All weather conditions and have never had a problen

Did you have to up jet your carb
I read some where if you remove the air box you need to use a 6o mm spacer on the cone filter or else you get a flat spot

Not many people seem to have done it so there's not much info on it
