Hi I haven't been around for a while but I'm after a bit of help rebuilding my brothers dt125re.so far I've stripped all the too end apart apart from the barrell itself.it seems to be firmly stuck to the bottom end on the two front studs.I've soaked it in penetrating fluid and whacked it God knows how many times but I cannot break the seal.has anyone ever come across this and have a solution.I even resorted to putting a breaker bar through where the powervalve sits and gently pulling on it and it still won't budge.any help greatly appreciated

Hi

I would have replied but no longer support this site.

The new dtr forum is located at www.dt125r.co.uk

To answer your question you will want a rubber mallet. They cab be had for a few quid at halfrauds.

You simply apply an upward motion to the barrel. Whilst gently tapping the edges all round. Eventually it will give. But yoy want to be gentle.

Post questions on the new forum for a faster response.

Thanks
