higher octane fuel is harder to ignite and will resit detination better in tuned engines just putting it in anything wont give you extra power

there was a fifth gear test, where they tested normal fuel vs. vpower

less power cars e.g. golf 1.4, had the same horsepower normal or vpower

whereas more tuned, higher powered engines, like a subaru wxr sti gained like more than 10 horsepower..

not sure how this correlates to motorbikes, but im guessing its the same, higher race tuned engines like RS125, caviga mito, will benefit more from the more explosion fuel, whereas a bike built for more reliability like a DT won't have much of a power benefit.

but its cleaner burning fuel, will be smoother running it wont do any harm if you can afford the extra pennies

gotta say i think mine runs smoother on vpower (only for when i have a job :D)

i used to, but I never noticed a difference and with the petrol prices the way they are at the minute I can't see myself using it any time soon

never noticed a difference.. you guys are under a placebo!

and yeh I though the bike had to be tuned to actually be able to get any advantages from it.
