Hello there! It's been a while since I've had any actual problems with the DT, I thought I was immune to it, but this is what happens if you lend someone your bike and they take it offroading in the pouring rain. The bike starts and runs perfectly up until 7000 revs, then it starts misfiring like a bastard and will start to lose power. At first I thought it was water got into the plug cap, but I checked that, cleaned it etc and it didn't help. So I stripped the bike down, took the coil off, cleaned it and sprayed with WD40 but, no surprise that didn't help either. It's strange because the bike's been fine in wet weather for ages now, it used to be a bastard in the rain, but I sorted that out long ago. I was just out on it, (it's a nice sunny, dry day) and she's still doing it, but I noticed, it'll rev fine right up to 9000 in first, usually in second, starts to misfire about 8000 in third, and the higher gear your in, the earlier it starts to misfire. It feels just like it used to when it was raining - bogging down and sounds like it's gonna die, but it still does it in good weather. What gan on like?????? I think it was worth it for the 2 days I got on my mates ZZR 250 though, which, if I can fix and sell the DT soon I will buy, despite the fact it has no soul.

I won't do it if you won't talk about your hands being too small
First of all try a new plug If its not that then i'd say a carb problem.Usually main jet gets blocked and results in the problems you are having. The higher the gear the more you are labouring the engine and it will splutter earlier
