if your on about gearbox oil, where the window is, it will be your gasket and easy to fix too,

try wipe casing then straighten bike up and look for leaks apearing from it

if there is
empty oil from giant bolt at bottom of kickstart bottom end casing(will have a copper washer behind)

buy new gasket £8 yamaha, dont buy cra**y pattern, they blow easily
take off kickstart
undo all bolts on that kickstart side that face you
disconnect oil pump tubes
apply a thin layer of multi purpose grease to your gasket(both side) this meens you can use the gasket over and over not just the once

do all that in reverse and top up with 750ml of oil again, job done, i cant see you loosing 1/2 litre through the crank seal mate to be fair also signs of spluttering would be visable too

let me know how you get on mate

gaz

okay it wasnt a 2 stroke leak ............ it was an everything leak
i was on the way to the shop to let them have a look and see (the bikes my dads too he said he would rather pay for it to be fixed at a shop) got to the petrol station in town then had a really bad sudden rear tyre puncture i had a inch n half gash in the inner tube no damage to the tyre, dont try wondering how the hell it got there ive spent all night on it and cant come up with a solution, then at the same petrol station 2 mins later i had a 6 inch diameter puddle of oil on the floor and now the bike will not start! had to push it 3.5 miles across Newport isle of wight which is hilly hmm the shops not got a spare slot for it until 3rd september so im buggered for more than two weeks!!!!! :@ :@ :@ :@ :@

fix it like i said above mate, it wont start because the gears are not lubricated with oil, it will turn over without oil but is not good for the engine and wear, fill up with oil again and it will start easily, i would just do the gasket its really simple to do mate, nothing will jump out and hit you its all solid in theresmile
