*UPDATE* I just swapped the pulleys over so that the valve moves to the left, closing the port exhaust side rather then piston side. This caused no good, it had even less bottom and mid range pull then just pegging the valve open, and no more power in the high revs then just pegging the valve. The Y.P.V.S is supposed to close piston side, im 100% sure of this now, sorry gixergav i dont know where you got your information from but its clearly not right for this bike, having the port to the exhaust side gives terrible performance and it can barely even be done in the first place, the pulleys are so tight theres no free-play to allign it up completely to the hole, i tried every possible combination of swapping over the cables to overcome that and it cant be done, it was not designed to turn left like that.
This means i have finally found the reason for my bike not performing as well as it should when the powervalve is setup correctly for maximum power:
Its still restricted somewhere, electronically
The reed switch trick doesn't cut it, the powervalve is still being retarded over 7k in all gears. Having the powervalve set up correctly doesn't give the same power in the top end that you get if you peg the valve, it also doesn't sound anything like the bike with the valve pegged.
