hopefully should be able to start work sometime next week. gonna get the frame powdercoated, never realised how cheap it was to get it done .

also was thinking of geting some fatbars like on seiki's bike but how do they fit on though .do you have to replace your risers/clamp-things? if anyone can let me know it would be much appriciated thanks...

You need risers for fatbars , you take the top clamps off and the riser kit screws into your yoke , then into itself clamping the fatbars

It's not as much as people think , mine cast £40 if I did it on it's own . Blasted and coated .

It's cheaper to gather up everything you want coated and get it done at the same time .

Your engine looks like its from an Italian import 125R, possible a 4DL model.

The only thing to watch out for will be the gear ratio's for the TZR will be different to those in the DT-R.

yeh should bolt right in.. 4dl engine was the same as the dtr apart from internal ratios and they ran a 32mm carb.. did hear once someone saying they dont fit but I cant see why not.. anyhow that doesnt look like a tzr 4dl engine to me. Im sure they had the dt125re oil pump covers....

edit eat my words.. it does look like 4dl engine cos they did use that pump cover... confusing myself with the derbi gpr (that uses the dt125re engine). that engine looks to have the 32mm carb rubber too. I thought the 4dl have a different boost bottle tho like the old tzr engine..

and I have a front axle for a dt125r..  pm me an offer..

I had a 4DL a few years back and apart from the fact that the pictures are so fuzzy I'm pretty sure its the older 125R engine.

Some one is trying to sell me some wheels from the early model TDR125-SP 'Light-Burner' if you are interested?

They are the same 3 spoke wheels that were in the 4DL made by Brembo - think he wants around £100 for the pair - I can pass you his email if you PM me?

just to clairfly this guys the 4dl bottom end wont drop in with out mods to mounts as the dt uses the swing arm pivot as a main mount and the 4dl doesn't it uses the two brackets on the rear instead is also doesn't have a cylinder head mount either the engines that do fit from the rr series are the 4fl /4hw,s , these are the motors you want as they also had the 4fu barrel and head which had better porting etc,

one issues running the 32mm 4dl carb is clearing the shock the 28 manifold is designed on a angle as you most likely know this allows the carb to swing clear of the shock , the 32mm manifold is straight exit and requires you to basically modify the 28 to use it (i have done this )

also i actually won that engine on ebay first time round for 105 i think it was lol but the sleer dicked me a round so i chose not to get it basically was gonna use it in my rs 50 /rr 125 project.

hi everyone .

havent been on the site much recently holiday season n all that,

also been mucking around with the new toy a CCM 644 fecking

beast !

but yeah started doing a few bits to the dt

removed the old engine, and found a problem strate away

wich was what benney boy was talking about .The hole where

big pin goes through the chassis, swing arm and engine was

made smaller by some ****ty little metal and rubber bush thing.

so i got the blowtorch on it and tapped it out.

and id like to point out to bennyboy im prety sure my engine has got
cylinder with mounts so should be cool there hopefullysmile.gif

as for the carb and manifold thanks for the advice m8 but im goin

to just use the 28 for the time being.

and ben350

iv already got my wheels mate but fanx anyways.
