Is it meant to be there? i presume its just to accomadate for the engine seeing as the standard exhaust sits alot higher up that the DEP i have on atm.
the paint makes it look worse than it is, irl it looks like its been pressed by a machine rather than dropped or bashed, i need someone to please check for this on there exhaust (this one is a 1990 model) i dont want to paint it and then find out the dent isnt meant to be there.
£42.01 :) ive given it a good clean and it come up looking new, next on the list was to respray but now it looks like im gonna have to get that dent pulled :(
also if you look at this picture of it you can see a ridge at the top of the pipe and then the dent and then a ridge below the dent but no ridge through the dent, which makes it look like it was manafactured like this, if it wasnt the ridge would follow the whole way through the dent.

well from pictures ive been studying it looks like its there to fit in with the contours of the engine, theres no frame or anything the closest part of the bike to the dent is the cylinder.
might send the seller an email asking if he knows anything about it, doubt he will since it was from a breakers.
anyone know what price i will be looking at to get it pulled? cant be more than 30 mins work surely.
Look on the bright side mate weather it was right or wrong once its on it wont be noticed, so give it a good clean paint etc, no one would know the difference cos its tucked away, although crazy says its normal so lets go with his verdict
alot of them have a dent, soetimes more than normal from where people tighten them up and they rub against other parts causing it to dent, like patman says it will never be seen and it wont affect your performance at all
