My bike has started 2nd kick throught the worst of the cold weather ( rode it to work one morning at -13 :O ) the day it warms and the snow starts to thaw my bike wont effin start (was not a happy bunny at 5 o'clock yesterday mornin) first kick the lights didn't even light up and they were turned on, i tried bumping it down the hill next to my house but it still didn't start. What could it be its got fuel and that about all i can say. Would go and have a fiddle myself but its snowing out there :( oh and i ran it the night before and it was fine. plus i need it to get work in the morning.

take the spark plug out, keep it in the holder that sits on the spark, put the spark plug next to the hole, then kick the kickstart over, if the spark trys to jump into the whole then your spark will be eliminated, but yes it sounds like that smile.gif especially if it gets wet, try dry the ht coil and spark plug smile.gif

haha well i went out and came back in looking like a snowman lol first kick over without doing anything it tried to start then wouldn't do anything. So i took the spark plug out and it wasn't sparking so i got one of me spare plugs and it sparked :D. Put the plug back in and it started 2nd kick but it seemed really boggy. And while i was at it i tightened up the powervalve wires because it was slightly out. Seiki you being serious?

lol of coarse hes not lol, sounds like you have a wet ht coil mate, the reason it made the difference from before is because the ht would have been wet and the plug too, now it fires but still boggy will be that there is still dampness in ht smile.gif take the ngk plug carp off and stick it on your radiator for 30 mins, bet you it works smile.gif

Plug cap goes over the plug, coil is at the other end of the fat lead into the plug cap

never ever ever ever spray wd40 on electrics smile.gif use proper electricaal cleaner
your coil is secured by 2 bolts mounted under the fuel tank, its black, twice the size of a match box, just follow it from the spark plug like deetee says smile.gif

lol, hope all goes well mate smile.gif theres fins on the coil where it bolts on, try get a wire wool brush or similar and clean down all the metal, trying not to flatn the fins to the point they are as one lol, cleaning it down will help you get a better spark too smile.gif

yeh if its black its a standard on, mostly after time people buy ngk ones when they get spark plugs sometimes, most older bikes end up with them on as some of the original black rubber ht boots dont fit over the aftermarkets sparkplug shape on top smile.gif hope all goes well smile.gif
