Just ordered this one, but im sure i will have to get differant side panels as the DTx ones kinda bulge out and have these 3 lips which slide under the rear factory fender ?
anyway thanks for the help, will get some more photos when this new fender comes....

I dont get how this fender is suposed to fit on ? if i line it up so the screw holes are in line with the frame then the seat looks too short, and if i tuck the fender under the seat then there is no suport for the fender and it hangs down(how did you guys do it, using spacers ? the fender dosn't fit flush with the frame), also i would have to cut the thing so that i can get to the 2 stroke oil and coolent resiviours, so i'm thinking i will need to get a differant seat now I need new side panels as the 06 dtx ones aren't compatible with this rear fender.
As if that wasn't bad enough the tidy tail brake light wont come on when i was testing it, the normal light works but the brake dosn't, it still works with the old one though, i'm threaders with it now seriously, my bike is now off the road again.

Even on the older R's you have to cut the ends of the frame rails off otherwise it looks daft as the mudguard is designed to sit much higher than the original one.
Plus the stuff I got from HPires is average quality at best - wished I'd stumped up the extra and bought genuine Yamaha panels now!
