Right, I have a 1999 yamaha DT125R and for some reason the clutch does not seem to work when the clutch lever is pulled tight, the gears all go up and down properly but without the clutch working i would have to rag through the gears which isnt a road i want to take :) thanks in advanced
nah, basically when i pull the clutch in while its also in gear it doesnt make any difference so it still stops instead of letting it free, which is bad when i want to ride it, it would be basically a semi auto lol
please someone send me a simple picture of the pipes, i dont know which goes where and it would be great to have the bike started today, thanks in advanced
check your spring on engine side where cable meets see if the spring is ingageing, check the routing of the cable as it may be twisted or jammed behind something, failing them 2 will be clutch plates sticking
ahh, ok, ill try those, also i hear its something to do with the engine being started it engages the clutch, sounds obsurd to me.. funny how it doesnt role forwards when i pull the clutch in when turns off completely
Although I can't shed any light on this for you, these manuals are ace. Downloaded the one for my DTX last night and is very useful, plan to take my carb out to clean with the aid of this.
there are 2 pipes coming from cylinder head, both go into carb(2 on side), as sat on bike right one on head goes to the top one on carb, the left on goes to the lower one on carb, one from fuel tank to the 45 degree angle(bronze colour), also there is a hose that comes from top carb and joins at bottom, also a overflow pipe on underside of carb, hope you get what i mean
pipes are disconnected because i took the engine out to replace the piston, i bought the bike with no rings, cheap tho 100 quid, compression is now there but i dont know where the pipes connect to and from, also theres leaking from the back of the carb from a bronze coloured hose connecter thing, any other problems ?
water, i put the radiator in and connected the hoses and for some reason it looked like it was coming from the round thing on the left side of the piston barrel,
right basically i have done a top end rebuild, but now everything is back to normal my bike wont start properly, i have re-wired it all, spark is good, but the bike will not start, it starts going then cuts straight back out, any ideaas ?
right, took engine out for a new piston and rings and conrod and circlips to go in then decided to put it all together, everything done, fuel in (pre-mixed for the time being need a new autolube pump), water in, clutch and brake cable connected, everything possible, also i re wired it all using the wire diagram on www.dtr125.net and for some reason it will sounds like its starting but doesnt, im unsure of the actualy ratio used in the tank,
