The tart up

Well i snapped my valve on my wheels no so i decided while it was off the road i would tart it up a bit biggrin Before pics not the best but i forgot to take any

Well the first thing were the wheels so i bought me patmans wheels all shineyawwand the brakes were a little dody so i took the calipers off and found some very rusty pistons :(

and a siezed bleed nipple

Next was my exhaust i had known for a long time it needed changing so i got me a dep front and fresco end can off ebay for £56

then i sprayed it smile ( that wasn't the original finish it was matt thanks to a mate recomending it because it was a good gloss finishdisbelief)

Then i removed the wheels and found a big crack in my rear caliper hanger,

so gaz came to the rescue biggrin and sent me one.
So i sprayed all the brake hangers and calipers,

Then i fitted a HPires Rear Fender and an Acerbis tailtidy, but to fit the rear fender i had to remove the grab rail which meant no where to fit the indicators. But i found that two of the bolt holes left for the grab rail would do the job using the old indicator brackets and some washers aww.

Next job was to fit braided brake hoses, rebuild the calipers, and fit sintered pads (i might be able to stop thenbiggrinbiggrin). but this is where it all went wrong lmao. I put the rear caliper together no problem, then i got to the front and i couldn't get the front dust seal in for the life of me then i managed it eventually and went to fit the piston and ripped the seal all the way around disbeliefcrybleh. so i rung local scamaha dealer, "yeah mate we'll have a rebuild kit for you tuesday its gone cost £48" so i told him to shove that where the sun dont shine furious and had to order another rebuild kit off wemoto. Apparntly you have to get the full kit they won't just sell the sealsdisbelief. So had to order another off wemoto(£26). I got a mobile bike mechanic to come and fit it when it came as i didnt want to feck another at that price lol. He fitted the new piston and seals to the front and then while he was there i got him to fit the front pads, and bleed the front and rear brake systems, only charged me £30 which i thought was pretty reasonable smile.
Well here it is all finished new bolts for the fairing and quite a few other replaces as i did bits and bobs.

Nice bike mate.

How come you didnt drill the little tabs and put screws thru to lift the rear fender up a bit more when you fitted it?

I think that means i did make it look better as mine is fitted correctly!! lmao!!!! Jokes!!

The two tabs line up with a screw hole each side you need to drill the tabs and put the screws in.  It will make the rear fender sit up more at towards the back and look better!!!

Fray there were no fitting instructions therefore not a right or wrong way ;) i presumed the tabs were to hide the bits that you have bolted the fender to + i will need to trim my seat to line the holes up when i lifted it up before it made the seat go tight. + there is a bolt in the hole with no head just the threads and i cba drilling it out.
