all the wires come in different colours but they all join up fine.... yellow is earth i think, you just guess until you get it right ;)

its easy as pie to fit
theres holes in it, take the rear mudguard off line it up where you want it and drill the holes, looks descent when on :)

theres no wire cutting and its all legal..

indys look cool, dont buy the ones i bought (cheap chinese rubbish)
they are ****ed now lol gotta buy new ones :@

handguards, i prefer wrap around ones but other people dont, they look quite cool but for a couple of bob more you can have acerbis ones
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-ACERBIS-UNIKO-MOTOCROSS-ENDURO-HAND-GUARDS-WHITE_W0QQitemZ360190567847QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item53dd07e5a7

and the blue lights would be pretty cool but all blue lights are illegal on the road, people think your the cops. Hefty fines.

Chinese ones are normally just poor quality however some are quite good ive got some on my dt from china and they're fine,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Motorcycle-14x-LED-Indicators-Black-Short-Stalk-x-2_W0QQitemZ270543192374QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item3efda18136 although mine are long stalk but that wont make any difference.
If you plan on fitting led indicators you'll need an led relay or they'll flash to fast and you will almost definately need to take the bulb out from under the dash that flashes when you inidcate as it will make them work like hazards for some reason.

ok now my next problem guys, my dt acceleration is a beast but top end there is hardly any difference about 60mph is this because iv had to put a restricted exhaust on it? would that make much difference? just wondering if its restricted by the CDI aswell not sure if they did that with the 02 dtr's??

You dont have to fit it but it will flash fast as hell without it ;)

Have you pinned your pv open? or just set it up to work correctly?

Not sure about the cdi but the reed switch will stop you at 60 mph if its in, try turning your headlight off if the bulb in it is wrong then it will slow the bike down because it saps power from the battery. My bike does it 60mph at 8k revs when the headlight is on turn it off and i can hit 70 + what revs are the bike at when it hits 60?

does that relay just replace my old one then no need to cut wires etc,

the pv is not pinned open it does the cycle when u turn the ignition on and i had it in neutral and revved it up and could see it moving,
as for the reed switch iv got to put some MPH clocks on my bike so il fit them tomorrow and on the MPH clocks there isnt a hole for it anyway, as for driving with the light off i haven't driven it yet with it on lol, not sure about rev's though at 60mph will have to take it out again later and see

no chopping it just unplugs and the new one plugs in ;) you'll find the relay under the headlight cowl on the same side as the clutch lever.
Best way to have the powervalve pinned open is a bit wild apparntly (its on my todo list - i wanna see how wild it gets lol)

tbh, it sounds like your bikes still restricted, its shutting the powervalve off at 60.

go through all restictions, dont cut any restriction pieces off it makes the bike go into limp mode

and yeah give pinning it a go :D:D
its like a fecking wild horse, **** for everyday none hooigan riding though:)

if your ever in doubt whenever your clutch isnt engaging or anything .. have a ganders at this :) in theory its more accurate then your speedo and rev counter.

"standard is 16-57, yours sounds perfectly fine" what u mean by that as for the graphs i dont really understand all that lol
also my clucth does seem to stick abit so going to have to have alook at that and one more question i bought some MPH clocks do i just fit them straight on or does the speedo drive have to be altered?

evening guys, just been reading though this thread, craig what do you mean by:

"looking up the exhaust port, make sure its absolutely flush with the exhaust hole, you might need to rotate it 180 degrees"

I've seen this mentioned a few times but not too sure what it means by making it flush?

Cheers

The bit that opens and closes when closed should be flush with the exhaust port if u look at the video of mine when closed it still sticks out and that was the problem as it was restricting it more than it should of

Forgive me if I missed this somewhere, i have only glanced at the thread but have you taken the reed switch out of the speedo? This thing is there as a speed limiter and 60 is about the limit it works at.

i havnt taken mine out yet but when i did before i sorted the pv out it didnt make any difference but my bike did struggle to go to 60 then lol, but when i looked at it i cant see how it makes any difference as it just slots into the whole and doesnt connect to anything

Thanks man, i've looked at your vid a couple times now, are you referring to the part going up and down, is that the pv - it looks like it's covering half of the port before it starts moving, is that it? Sorry, there are a few things i am still not familiar with yet smile

You need to take it out and tuck it out of the way somewhere, like I said its a limiter and you have left it in, as the workings of the speedo pass 60 then the reed will close...send a signal to the CDI and start to close down the PV, thats what it's there for. I cant explain why you think it made it worse when you took it out, perhaps you placed it somewhare that closed the reed switch contact. A simple check would be to check your PV operation when you have moved the reed.

Yeah i'm getting there, but some things still throw me.

Conn just so i'm clear, it looks silver in the vid but it's the part that moves first, that is the pv isn't it doing the self check, the part in the back moves up and down is that the piston???
