i havnt taken mine out yet but when i did before i sorted the pv out it didnt make any difference but my bike did struggle to go to 60 then lol, but when i looked at it i cant see how it makes any difference as it just slots into the whole and doesnt connect to anything

You need to take it out and tuck it out of the way somewhere, like I said its a limiter and you have left it in, as the workings of the speedo pass 60 then the reed will close...send a signal to the CDI and start to close down the PV, thats what it's there for. I cant explain why you think it made it worse when you took it out, perhaps you placed it somewhare that closed the reed switch contact. A simple check would be to check your PV operation when you have moved the reed.

i never said the that made it slow i said the pv wasnt working thats why it was slow, also how does the limiter work then as like i said when its put in behind the speedo it doesnt plug into anything or connect to anything in there? it just seems to sit there im tempted to get my soldering gun out and take the resistor off and see if that does anythinh, so im not sure it makes a difference i will give t another go now that i have sorted the pv problem

yes the part in the back moving up and down is the piston if u have ur exhaust off and just kick it over really softly with your hand or something you should be able to here it as it would make a sucking noise and with the pv whilst looking up the exhaust port turn the ignition on and off a few times and the pv will do its cleaning cycle and at the end sit flush with the port like in the pics just posted or just stick you hand up there and feel if it is flush

You say last time you took it out your PV was not working and you couldnt get to 60, but now its fixed you can get to 60 and then it wont go past that.
The theme of this thread is you bike wont go past 60 isnt it?
Again... the reed switch is a speed limiter it operates when the speedo gets to around 60 and closes the PV down. Whats this resistor you are referring to now?

loosen the cables off your PV, loosen the nut, take off exhaust and make sure the flat part of the powervalve runs parrallel with the exhaust port (run your finger up it) i thought my power valve was set up correctly but it wasnt until i done this i realised it wasnt, once you do this tighten the PV nut and tension the cables with a mm of play each way. you will definatly notice a difference when its set up correctly dont rev too hard in 1st lol. my bike wouldnt barley go past 7000 revs in 4th or 5th.
