Hey guys, I compared my power vale operation to that of a DTRE, Now mine goes from closed to open with increasing revs but the DTRE goes the opposite direction, ie from closed...to even more closed, it turns clockwise with increasing revs!!! (Viewed from the pulley)
ooooh actually, just had a thought, maybe the 2007's pv has been setup differently to combat the problem you get from having an oversized cylinder where the powervalve can hit the piston, we had a little discussion going on in a thread as to whether it was possible to have it working backwards with the powervalve twisted around to prevent it from hitting the piston.
this is the newest thread regarding the YPVS, I just bought a 97 dtr with no YPVS servo on as some pikey has just pinned it open and slammed a plate on the outside which is losing compression I have been offered a YPVS for £20 plus postage is this a good price? and is it worth purchasing?

definately worth £20 just make sure its the right one for ur bike
mines works like the second vid. thats the right way, as stated above :)
if ya over bore and leave it like that. ur in trouble, as i found out. to my exspence.
i am going to do an experiment on my bike, iam going to turn the cables around. this will move the PV anti clockwise (fowrard toward the zorst port) when idle. Then turns clockwise (fully open) at high revs.
If it works with no adverse effects on power, then it is ideal on over bored engines. happy days!
