okay so its time to get a new chain and sprockets ... i have never changed a chain or sprockets before.

so... what are the sizes of the chain and sprockets that i should get ?

i want an o-ring chain and i've checked with yamaha but they only had normal chains for normal prices.. so i've been searching Ebay for DID chains.

As long as it's a quality chain like OEM mate it's fine to take one out

and to answer what DTpower wanted :D

16 front sprocket
57 rear sprocket is standard

taking one tooth off the front will drop top speed but will improve acceleration
adding one tooth to the front will drop acceleration but will pull to a higher top speed.

look on ebay, type in: did dt 125 chain sprockets
i would find some descent kits for you .. but your in sweden!

thank you Craig and Seiki.. the shipping from UK to sweden is about £ 15 but it's still cheaper on ebay than over here :D yamaha wants about £60 for a set with a non o ring chain the set is probably **** anyways... i could check on some german sites too as the DT 125 is quite popular in germany..

Wish me luck guys! LOL

forgot to ask about your chain size? i see many sizes 420 - 480 -520 ... what size did you get on that iris chain Craig?
