Nothing better than fixing your bike ....

.... yourself biggrin

Had a few issues with the DT that I wanted sorted before it sold .

No horn
No headlight
Power loss

Took LH electrics apart and cleaned the fcuk out of everything , plugged it back in and now have bright headlight ( when I rev lol ) and a HORN confuseconfuse

Then read a few threads on here about power loss and worked my way through bike eliminating each section . Been told it's my clutch slipping but was doubtful .

Simply took HT lead off spark plug and WD40'd it . Took bike for a blast and some of the power has been restored biggrin ... beat a R1 on the motorway , after a mile I slowed to let him catch up biggrin

My advice when having issues with your bike , look at it section by section and test everything . Eliminate what's not the cause and move on , eventually with the advice on here you will fix your bike confuse

No still a bit of power loss lower down so need to suss what that is as well . Think it's electrical because the HT clean has definitely made a difference . I'm just chuffed I have a horn !! Do you know what it's like to spend the first 3 months of your riding experience with no mirrors or horn ?? lol makes you paranoid .

ive only used my horn once, when i got pulled out on really badly, ****. I dont normally use my horn :S

mirrors are good to overtake and to see if police are behind lol might be worth getting some ;)

m&p is a pretty good website for little bits like that I found some nice mirrors I like only hope they site nicely other than that a lot of streetfight-esque mirrors I think would look kool on a dt :D

Mugen what is the top you had out of the dt?
